A birth date, time, and place go in. Planetary positions are computed from the NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris — the same data planetariums and spacecraft navigation use. From those positions the engine derives a 224-key master profile across 169 traditions: Western and Vedic astrology, BaZi, Human Design, Gene Keys, the classical humors, polyvagal mapping, ceremonial correspondences, numerology, and more. Each system is a module with a registered primary source. The profile is pre-interpretive — it is the raw material a practitioner reads, not a reading.
The engine makes 183 discrete interpretive claims. 113 of them are warranted: backed by a citation to a primary text we physically hold — Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos for Western dignities, Parashara for Vedic yogas, Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy for ceremonial correspondences, and so on. The remaining 70 are marked unwarranted and shown as such. We do not paraphrase a tradition we cannot cite, and we do not present an engine hypothesis as doctrine.
When several traditions agree about a chart, the obvious move is to call that "high confidence" and print one number. That number would be wrong, because two different kinds of independence are in play and they measure different things.
We never collapse corroboration to one number. Measurement independence asks how many distinct observables agree; transmission independence asks how many uninfluenced lineages arrived there. Ten systems reading one ecliptic longitude are one measurement, not ten — and we render both axes.
We carry both as a pair and render both. A differing cultural-origin label is not proof of non-contact — Hellenistic and Vedic astrology had documented transmission — so non-contact is an asserted, sourced relation, never inferred from two labels differing. Default: contact unknown → not independent.
