Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

2. Service Description & Disclaimer

Stars Engine computes algorithmic profiles from birth data across astrological, psychological, and somatic traditions. All output is for informational and educational purposes only. No output from Stars Engine constitutes medical advice, psychological diagnosis, clinical assessment, financial advice, or any form of professional consultation. You should not rely on Stars Engine output to make decisions about your health, relationships, career, or finances without consulting a qualified professional.

The psychometric predictions, polyvagal profiles, attachment style estimates, and all other computed indicators are algorithmic hypotheses derived from birth chart architecture — not validated clinical instruments. They have not been evaluated by the FDA or any regulatory body. They are not a substitute for assessment by a licensed psychologist, therapist, or medical professional.

LLM-generated narratives are AI-produced interpretations of structured chart data. They reflect probabilistic patterns, not verified psychological facts. Use them as starting points for reflection, not as conclusions.

3. Practitioner Responsibility

If you are a practitioner using Stars Engine with clients, you are solely responsible for obtaining your clients' informed consent before uploading their birth data. You are the data controller; Stars Engine is the data processor. You bear full responsibility for how you use, interpret, and communicate the engine's output to your clients.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stars Engine's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the total subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

5. Refunds & Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days. Filing a payment dispute with your bank without contacting us first will result in immediate account suspension pending resolution.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: resell or redistribute the service without authorization; use the API to build a competing product; upload data you do not have the right to share; attempt to reverse-engineer the computation engine; use the service for any illegal purpose. API keys are personal and may not be shared. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

7. Data Ownership & Deletion

You retain all rights to the data you upload. You may export your data at any time. You may request complete account deletion, which will permanently remove your personal data from our servers within 24 hours. Content-addressed chart data in the Bronze archive is anonymous by design and is not removed by account deletion.

8. Intellectual Property

The Stars Engine software, algorithms, and document templates are the intellectual property of the operator. Trademarks such as "Human Design" (Jovian Archive), "Gene Keys" (Gene Keys Publishing Ltd.), and others referenced in our output are the property of their respective owners. Stars Engine is an independent computational tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any trademark holder.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Harris County, Texas. You waive any right to participate in a class action.
